Mindy Watson
I am Karen Melinda Watson, and my nickname is Mindy. My background is in both psychology and social work, with a passion for helping people navigate feelings of anxiety, depression, and other difficult emotions that can be related to trauma. Creating a safe, compassionate space that allows you to feel supported, understood, and empowered to heal is my goal.
Therapy should be a collaborative process rooted in curiosity and trust. Together, you and I can look at patterns, healthy coping strategies, and your inner resilience and self-worth. My work draws from evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other trauma-informed practices that will be tailored to your unique needs.
When feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, working with a therapist like me can help you gain a greater sense of clarity, calm, and confidence to live according to your values. Whether you are adjusting to major changes in your life, coping with unresolved emotional pain, or just wanting a space to better understand yourself, it would be my honor to support you in your journey.
“One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.” – Helen Keller
